How I decided to be a therapist

I chose to become a therapist because I hold deep compassion for individuals navigating mental health challenges—especially in a world where their experiences are so often dismissed or stigmatized. I have always been moved by the quiet courage it takes to keep going while feeling misunderstood or alone. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural extension of my desire to stand with people in those moments and to make sure no one feels isolated in their struggles. It is truly my privilege to accompany clients on their journey toward healing, clarity, and self-understanding.

How I would like to help clients as a therapist

I believe therapy is grounded in two essential elements: a healthy therapeutic relationship and the ability to see one’s life from new perspectives. My priority is to create a space where you feel genuinely understood, safe, and respected—so that meaningful work can unfold. I view therapy as a process that goes beyond comfort; it is a collaborative journey of growth that becomes possible within trust.

With warmth and authenticity, I will support you in exploring your experiences, understanding yourself more deeply, and reconnecting with what matters most to you. My goal is to help you gain clarity, rebuild a sense of direction, and cultivate a more compassionate and empowered relationship with yourself.

What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist

My theoretical orientation is eclectic and integrative, and I specialize in working with adults, couples, and adolescents. I integrate a psychodynamic foundation with CBT and ACT, and I also incorporate DBT-informed skills for clients who struggle with emotion regulation. For short-term goals, our work may focus more on structured, educational components—such as cognitive restructuring or strengthening emotional awareness. In the long term, I aim to help clients deepen insight, understand themselves more fully, and leverage their strengths to live a values-driven and self-directed life. Grounded in therapeutic theory and guided by a creative, flexible approach, I strive to begin exactly where each client is and support them in moving toward meaningful and sustainable change.
