How I decided to be a therapist
I was a teacher and my secondary duty was counseling students. I realized that I needed more knowledge and skills to help my students who were in great emotional pain. I went back to school to equip myself and that is how I became a clinical social worker and therapist. I have worked as an inpatient psychiatric social worker, a therapist at behavioral health care, a guidance counselor at an international school, and a therapist at private group practices. I am deeply honored to work with my clients and it has been such a joy to see my clients find more meaning and hope in their lives.
How I would like to help clients as a therapist
I sincerely believe that healing begins by having someone hear our stories and believe in our potential. I am here to cheer my clients on for their courage to take the first step and help them reach their goals! My approach to counseling is collaborative, non-judgmental, authentic, and playful. I look forward to meeting you and walking with you on your healing journey!
What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist.
I am trained in CBT+, DBT, EMDR, Play Therapy, and TF-CBT. I work with children, teens, and adults dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and life transitions. I help clients increase insights, reduce emotional pains and enjoy life more. We work together using evidence-based tools to reduce unwanted emotions, thoughts, and disruptive behavioral patterns and increase happiness, healthy relationships, and balanced lifestyles.
