How I decided to be a therapist
During my studies at the University of Chicago, I was drawn to the evolving ideas of human development and the importance of relationships in shaping identity. My exposure to Otto Rank’s psychoanalytic theories further convinced me that therapy should focus not just on past trauma but on growth, agency, and self-actualization through relationships.
How I would like to help clients as a therapist
I believe that individuals grow and heal through relationships, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel understood and empowered. Rather than focusing on pathology, I guide clients toward developing a stronger sense of self and autonomy within their relationships.
What my theoretical orientation is as a therapist
My work is heavily influenced by Otto Rank’s Relationship Therapy, which emphasizes personal growth, creative will, and the power of human connection. I believe in a client-centered, relational approach that supports individuals in navigating life’s challenges while fostering self-acceptance and autonomy.
